Pools In keeping with the traditional European-style baths, there are three open-air bathing pools. The two outer pools are hot mineral water spas containing 100 per cent pure mineral water set at 37 degrees Celsius. The centre pool is a cold plunge pool set at 24 degrees Celsius. By alternating between the bathing pool and the different temperatures, the heart is stimulated to efficiently and effectively pump blood throughout your body. Steam Rooms Mineral Spa offers three steam rooms, each one offering a unique experience: The Detox Box uses safe and naturally occurring far infrared rays to effectively detoxify your body of many lifelong accumulated toxins and heavy metals. The far infrared rays enable the body to produce more perspiration than in a traditional sauna without the need for high temperatures. The Detox Box operates at an optimum and comfortable temperature of between 30 - 45 degrees Celsius. Regular use of the Detox Box will assist to clear the body of cellulite, improve skin tone, aid with weight management and energize your body whilst relaxing your mind. The Hot Stone Bath steam room has a gentle dry steam. This unique and aesthetic equipment hails from Germany and is the only one of its type in Australia. Volcanic rocks plunge into the copper cauldron that is filled with lavender oil, based on its many health giving and relaxation benefits. The Wet Sauna uses a hot steam to open the pores in your skin. This is the hottest steam room at The Retreat, with a recommended usage of 15 minutes maximum. The three steam rooms offer a diverse and soothing experience. Relax in the dry sauna and watch the volcanic rocks plunge into a copper cauldron filled with lavender scented water. Try the infrared sauna for a quick detox or the wet sauna. Mineral Water Mineral Spa at Peppers Springs Retreat is situated in the "Spa Capital" of Australia, Hepburn Springs. Hepburn Springs and the Daylesford area earned this title as they have the largest concentration of mineral springs in the country. For thousands of years, the local Aboriginals understood the exceptional curative powers of the sparkling mineral water found in the area. During the gold rush of the 1850s the European settlers of the region quickly recognised the waters’ therapeutic benefits.
